I joined Goodreads a few years ago, way before I started blogging, so my profile is kind of a mess. I really want to clean it up so I can make better use of it. I thought what a better way to do that than to join the Down the TBR Hole meme started by Lia @Lost In a Story! I am going to do it once a month instead of weekly, and hopefully make my Goodreads a pleasant place to be again.

My Thoughts: This sounds interesting and unique. The dragon people intrigue me and I feel like it could either be really weird or really cool. It has pretty decent ratings on Goodreads too. Honestly though, I probably won’t get to it. VERDICT: TOSS
Pure by Julianna Baggott

My Thoughts: Wow, this sounds intense! I love a good dystopian and this one sounds dark and spooky, and seems to have a more mature concept. It also has good ratings and reviews. VERDICT: KEEP
Those We Love Most by Lee Woodruff

My Thoughts: This sounds really sad, and I don’t really read these kind of books much anymore. VERDICT: TOSS
Unspoken by Sarah Rees Brennan
Kami Glass loves someone she’s never met… a boy she’s talked to in her head ever since she was born. She wasn’t silent about her imaginary friend during her childhood, and is thus a bit of an outsider in her sleepy English town of Sorry-in-the-Vale. Still, Kami hasn’t suffered too much from not fitting in. She has a best friend, runs the school newspaper, and is only occasionally caught talking to herself. Her life is in order, just the way she likes it, despite the voice in her head.
But all that changes when the Lynburns return.
The Lynburn family has owned the spectacular and sinister manor that overlooks Sorry-in-the-Vale for centuries. The mysterious twin sisters who abandoned their ancestral home a generation ago are back, along with their teenage sons, Jared and Ash, one of whom is eerily familiar to Kami. Kami is not one to shy away from the unknown—in fact, she’s determined to find answers for all the questions Sorry-in-the-Vale is suddenly posing. Who is responsible for the bloody deeds in the depths of the woods? What is her own mother hiding? And now that her imaginary friend has become a real boy, does she still love him? Does she hate him? Can she trust him?
My Thoughts: Oooh this sounds really interesting. Maybe a little gothic fiction moment. A little mystery, a little romance, a little spooky. Sounds like a perfect Fall book to me! VERDICT: KEEP
The Curse of the Mistwraith by Janny Wurts
The world of Athera lives in eternal fog, its skies obscured by the malevolent Mistwraith. Only the combined powers of two half-brothers can challenge the Mistwraith’s stranglehold: Arithon, Master of Shadow and Lysaer, Lord of Light.

My Thoughts: This sounds like a very traditional epic fantasy novel. I haven’t read one in a while, and I like the sound of it. I definitely have a few that I would read before this one, but I think it seems to be worth keeping. VERDICT: KEEP
