Happy Tuesday! Normally I would be coming to you with a Top Ten Tuesday, but I was feeling uninspired by this week’s topic so here we are with the How I Read Book Tag which I found over at Elaine Howlin’s amazing blog. Be sure to check her out as well 🙂
Do you have a certain place at home for reading?
I read in my bathtub more than anywhere else. It is my ultimate happy place.
Can you just stop reading, or do you have to stop after a chapter/certain amount of pages?
I prefer to stop at the end of a chapter, but if need be I can stop anywhere.
Bookmark or random piece of paper?
When I have a real bookmark available, I love to use them. However; I tend to lose them along the way and will use anything I have at my disposal before dog-earring a page.
Multi-tasking: music or TV while reading?
I can read with anything going on. I won’t necessarily be paying attention to all of the things, but it won’t distract me from my book.
Do you eat or drink while reading?
Yes. I love to have my favorite mug filled with coffee or tea, or a glass of wine at night while cozying up with a good book.
Reading at home or everywhere?
Everywhere!! I never leave my house without a book in my purse.
One book at a time or several at once?
I’ve been known to do both. Recently I’ve been focusing on one book at a time.
Reading out loud or silently in your head?
Silently! Do people really read out loud when they’re by themselves?!
Do you read ahead or even skip pages?
Never on purpose. It sometimes will happen that my eyes will just scan ahead and I’ll accidentally see something I wasn’t meant to know yet and then I get mad at myself haha
Breaking the spine or keeping it like new?
I don’t really even notice this while I’m reading. The only time I’ll worry about it is if the spine breaks so much that pages start to fall out.
Do you write in your books?
No! I can’t bring myself to do it. I just started using a new book to learn to read tarot, and the author suggests marking all over the book while learning. I started to do it with that book only, cuz I’m a rule follower, and I still felt so naughty.
Reading In The Wings 
I try not to read ahead but always do, especially near the end of a major chapter! I often end up having to cover the last few lines with my hand so I don’t spoil myself. 😂
